Order Policies

  • Allow one business day for your order to be processed and shipped. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed the following Monday. Please allow 5-8 business days for Ground delivery, 3-5 days for 3 Day, 2-4 days for 2 Day, 1-3 days for Next Day. If you MUST HAVE the laptop by a particular day, call (650) 919-1820 PST to review your order.
  • If the billing and shipping addresses are different, we'll contact you via telephone to confirm your order. We will not ship orders with inconsistencies such as non-working telephone numbers.
  • We create the shipping documents with a Signature Required so the shipping company doesn't just leave the package. If this might create difficulties and you'd like for us to ship without a signature required, please email sales@usedlaptops.com or call (650) 919-1820 PST to request we waive this requirement (a telephone call is preferred). Please be advised if we ship without a signature and the package "disappears" we cannot replace it.
  • CALIFORNIA ORDERS: Orders shipping within California will have Sales Tax added determined by the shipping address. The tax amount on your Invoice may differ slightly from that on your Online Order. Effective 01/01/2005, we are required to collect an $8.00, per laptop, fee that the state uses to defray display recycling costs. This recycling fee is applied to manufacturer refurbished units only.   • HAWAII: Per UPS and Federal Express, orders shipping to Hawaii must travel via 2 Day or faster. Your order will be adjusted to meet these requirements.
  • If your credit card has a billing address outside the United States, we'll need to contact your bank to confirm the billing address. Please download, complete and return via fax our International Credit Card Agreement (PDF Document) so we can confirm your billing address with your bank. In the event we are unable to confirm the billing address we cannot accept the credit card. Alternate payment methods are described on our International Page.
  • We hope you'll review our limited 90-Day Warranty. Two critical aspects of our Warranty are:
    1. The batteries/charging systems are "as-is" (meaning the battery may not hold a charge even when you first receive the laptop.
    2. Changing the Operating System voids our Warranty. Returns will be subject to a 15% Restock Fee. Questions can be directed via email to sales@usedlaptops.com or by calling (650) 919-1820 PST.
  • We track IP addresses and report fraudulent activity. Keep in mind, credit card fraud is a Federal Offense.
  • Warehouse Pick Up Service is available in Mountain View (northern California, north of San Jose). Please place your order online, choosing "WILL CALL" as the shipping method, then schedule a pick up with us by email at sales@usedlaptops.com or by calling (650) 919-1820 PST. Please be sure to include your order number, as well as a date and time you'd like to pick up your order. Pick up's can be scheduled Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

    Please be aware that not all laptops listed in our online inventory are available for will-call or warehouse pick up service. Please call to check before placing your order if you require will call.
